Davos knows more
28th of January - 22nd of April 2021
Davos has one of the highest densities of natural scientists in Switzerland. Everyone should benefit from this!
The aim will be to address fundamental topics in natural sciences, if possible with a local reference. The keywords fake news, conspiracy myths, anti-vaccination opponents, corona opponents, Covidiotes etc. challenge us as a society in general and especially as a natural research society to present facts in clearly understandable words and to lead the discussion.
The target audience are locals, young people and guests of Davos.
We want to talk about topics like climate, astronomy, allergies, pandemics, vaccination etc. educate, record and offer events with recognized specialists. The focus is on the scientific consensus in the respective subject areas, which is broadly supported by the expertise of the Davos research institutes. A false balance, in which exponents of the deviating position are offered a stage, should be clearly avoided.
