As a public acute hospital, Spital Davos AG provides basic medical care for the region and guarantees acute inpatient and outpatient care on 24 hours a day and all year round. 

The hospital is quality-certified and its 360 employees work with state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic equipment in the fields of surgery and orthopaedics, internal medicine, care and nursing as well as sports and prevention. Additionally, there is a 24-hour emergency service, homecare services (Spitex Davos), a nursing home (Pflegeheim Alberti) and a crèche (Kinderkrippe Mandala).

As a SIWF-certified training centre, Davos Hospital trains sub-assistants in the fields of internal medicine, surgery/orthopaedics and anaesthesia and is affiliated with the University of Zurich (medicine) and the University of Basel (surgery/orthopaedics) for this purpose. Davos Hospital has the lead in the training program for HF nursing, and internships are offered regularly for physiotherapists studying at a University of Applied Sciences. Every two years, there is a training position for paramedics, and further training to become an expert in emergency care HF NDS or an expert in anaesthesia care HF NDS is also possible on a regular basis.

Davos Sports & Health is the department of sports medicine of the Davos Hospital and one of the few Swiss Olympic Medical Centres in Switzerland. Davos Sports & Health provides competent and uncomplicated care for athletes, promotes health with targeted programmes, and creates knowledge through research and teaching. 

Proven specialists in sports medicine, surgery, exercise science, physiotherapy, medical massage as well as research and teaching support, among others, the players of the Hockey Club Davos, athletes of Swiss Ski as well as the young talents of the local sports schools. Thanks to the affiliation with Davos Hospital, comprehensive medical care is guaranteed.

With back and blood count analyses as well as stress tests, weak points are identified and can then be specifically addressed.
